the art of short form

I started making little videos on an iPhone 4 in 2011 — I would walk around new york city, where I was living at the time, and film things how I saw them — alive and vibrant, grungy and raw — focusing entirely on how it made me feel.

I was creating a world apart from the world I was seeing, shaping the reality of it through my eyes and editing.

A few months ago I started playing with visual storytelling on instagram and tiktok, this time scripting ideas and personal stories, myths, and concepts with voiceovers, audio (and my actual face!), and I’m having so much fun.
